1919- Bone & Joint Hospital began with the dream of a young physician returning home from serving in World War I. When Dr. Earl D. McBride returned home, he began treating children and adults with orthopedic afflictions.
To further his vision, he spent a year in New York City studying at the Hospital for Special Surgery, also known as the Hospital for the Ruptured and Crippled.
1923- Dr. McBride opened his orthopedic practice in Oklahoma City at 215 N.W. 10 th Street.
1926- During the Great Depression, Dr. McBride’s care gained a reputation for excellence and he purchased what would become the first location of Bone & Joint Hospital at 717 N. Robinson Street. |
