Oklahoma City – Bone and Joint Hospital at St. Anthony will host a free educational luncheon on MAKOplasty® robotic knee surgery on Wednesday, March 16, at noon, in the Education Center, 1111 N. Dewey Ave., Oklahoma City.

Jason Emerson, D.O., will discuss a new, minimally invasive, robotic-assisted partial knee resurfacing procedure called MAKOplasty®. Dr. Emerson is an orthopedic surgeon on staff at Bone and Joint Hospital and attended medical school at Oklahoma State University, College of Osteopathic Medicine.

MAKOplasty® is performed to treat osteoarthritis (OA) on two parts of the knee: the medial (inner portion), the patellofemoral (front portion), or both. Most MAKOplasty® patients experience a shorter hospital stay, minimal blood loss, quicker rehabilitation and a smaller scar. In addition, many people are able to return to an active lifestyle within weeks of the procedure.

This technology offers a more precise and consistent result for partial knee resurfacing and is available only at Bone and Joint Hospital at St. Anthony.

Don’t let joint pain slow you down. Attend this free luncheon to learn more about the benefits of MAKOplasty®. Space is limited. Please register by calling (405) 979-7814.
